Mr. William Earl “Willy” Reed, Jr., 58, of 16327 National Pike, Hagerstown, died Thursday, April 19, 2012, at his residence. He was the husband of Debra A. Reed.
Born on January 23, 1954, in Berkeley Springs, WV, he was the son of William Earl, Sr., and Dolores Irene Albanese Reed of Clear Spring.
He graduated in 1972 from Clear Spring High School; and was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Willy was employed with Interstate Towing; and was of the Catholic Faith.
Surviving are his children, Tracey I., Diane M. and Harry S. Reed, all of Hagerstown; and sisters Patricia I. Morris of Clear Spring, Anita M. Watson of Fredericksburg, VA, and Melissa R. Carbaugh of Humble, TX; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 24, at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam Street, Hagerstown. Pastor Brad Nigh will officiate. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport. Military honors will be offered by Amvets Post #10 and Marine Corp League. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to the family to assist with expenses.
