Mr. Max E. G. Rockwell, 75, of Falling Waters, West Virginia, died Saturday afternoon, September 9, 2017, at Williamsport Nursing Home, Williamsport. He was the husband of Carol J. Carbaugh Rockwell, his wife of 47 years.
Born July 16, 1942, in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Arthur Garfield and Mollie Elizabeth Horner Rockwell. He was a 1961 graduate of North Hagerstown High School; and a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Max worked for the United States Department of Commerce.
He is of the Lutheran faith.
Besides his wife, Mr. Rockwell is survived by two children, Kara D. Rockwell and Kendra D. Cullen, both of Stafford, Virginia; grandchildren, Bradley J. Williams and Elizabeth B. Cullen, both of Stafford; and his sister, Maxine V. Cassidy, of Elm Hurst, Illinois.
The family will receive friends at the Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam Street, Hagerstown, on Wednesday, September 13, beginning at 1:00 PM. A funeral service will being at the funeral home at 1:30 PM, with the Rev. Alan N. Clingan officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Rockwell’s name to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland 21742.
