Marie Kathleen Byrne, 68, passed away December 9, 2024 at Chambersburg Hospital. She was born August 9, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan. Marie was the daughter of William and Kathleen (Hicks) Byrne. She graduated from Menominee High School and attended classes at Eastern Michigan University. Marie is survived by her daughter, Monica Bryn (Travis) Pfistner and her grandchildren, Shane, Liam, Raevyn, Ayden and Jameyson. She is also survived by her brother Kevin (Nimfa) Byrne, sisters Margaret (Anne) Byrne, and Laura (Steven) Brownstein, as well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Eamon and Andrew. Marie was devoted to her grandchildren and was involved in civic efforts in her community as a valued volunteer. She was a longtime employee of Johnson-Matthey in Wayne PA, and a pivotal member of the Devon Horse Show and Fall Classic. Marie was a life long avid Philadelphia sports fan, she enjoyed traveling, playing cards and having fun with her friends and family. Services will be private, and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date.
