Kathy Louise (McMullen) Thomas, age 67, of Chambersburg, PA, peacefully passed away September 15, 2025, at Quincy Village after a long illness. She was born on July 19, 1958, in Chambersburg, PA, the daughter of the late Dorothy M. (DeWalt) Poe and Wes Wilson. Kathy will be remembered for her warm heart and her laugh. She had a gift for storytelling as she shared photos and memories with younger generations. She never went anywhere without her root beer, or just "beer" to her. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Her main source of joy came from being around her family. She was married to Richard "Rick" Thomas for 45 years. In addition to Rick, she is survived by her two children Pauline McMullen and Todd Thomas; her brother, Eric Poe and his wife Andrea; her grandson Aaron Novak and his wife Amanda; her nephew, Eric Jr, her step-grandson Taylor, and great-grandson Orlando. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Joseph McMullen, granddaughter, Brittney McMullen, and nephew Samuel Poe. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Sellers Funeral Home, in Chambersburg, followed by burial at Fair Ridge Cemetery, Shade Gap. The family requests that memorial donations may be made in Kathy’s memory to either the Central PA Food Bank or the American Diabetes Association.
