Carl Patterson,74, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024 at the Chambersburg Hospital. He was born October 2, 1949 in Chambersburg, the son of the late Vada and Lynn Patterson. Carl graduated from CASHS in 1967 and from Penn State Mechanicsburg in 1972. As the owner of the Ice Cream House, Carl was the Ice Cream Man of Fayetteville for 28 years. Prior to that, he was the Service Manager of Hal Lowry Ford and the Comptroller of Whalens. After retirement, he continued on with his love for antiques. He spent a lot of time at auctions and the Fayetteville Antique Mall. He had a love like no other for his family and friends. There was always a good laugh when Carl was around. Carl is survived by his daughter Melissa "Missy" Punt (Ross), his granddaughters: Cassidy Patterson, Madison Patterson, Cloey Punt and his fur baby Russell. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Chesley B. Patterson. Services will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter and Women in Need.
