Barbara Bock, 84, of Greencastle, PA passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024 in the Mercy House of Chambersburg. Born July 12, 1940 in Highfield, MD, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Upton and Margaret Elizabeth (Knepper) Brown.
Barbara was married to the late Frank Bock for 58 years. Together they worked at his business Bock Oil Company for over 40 years. She was the Greencastle Borough tax collector from 2010 until 2024 when she became ill. Barbara enjoyed reading and playing cards with her family.
She is survived by two children, Elizabeth Barkdoll (Tod) and Michael Bock (Mary) both of Greencastle; four grandsons, Zachary Barkdoll (Megan) of Greencastle, Jared Barkdoll(Autumn) of Florence, SC, Ian Bock and his significant other Austin Lord of Dallas TX, and Eli Bock of Greencastle; three great-grandchildren; Greer, Annaston, and Finn; and two siblings Donna Mong and Hurbert Brown (MaryAnn).
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to SimpleChoice Cremation Services Inc. of Chambersburg.
