CVBA delivers care packages to 35 first responder stations

GREENCASTLE – Volunteers from the Cumberland Valley Business Alliance recently delivered care packages to 35 first responder stations throughout Franklin County as part of the 10th Annual First Responders Appreciation Day.

The care packages included snacks and beverages, supplies for the stations, gift cards and more donated by businesses in the area to thank local first responders for their dedication to protecting the community.

The deliveries were made to local fire, EMS and police stations in Mercersburg, Shippensburg, Fannettsburg, Fayetteville, Greencastle, Blue Ridge Summit, Dry Run, Waynesboro, Mont Alto, Pleasant Hall, South Mountain and Chambersburg.

“First Responders Appreciation Day is our way of saying thank you to the incredible men and women who sacrifice, serve and protect our community every day,” said Stephen Christian, president of the CVBA. “We appreciate the generosity of our local businesses in supporting this great cause.”

This event was coordinated by the CVBA, a partnership between the Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce and Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce.
