CHAMBERSBURG – The unemployment rate in the Chambersburg-Waynesboro area stood at 2.9 percent on Oct. 1, the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry reported.
And Mike Ross, president of the Franklin County Area Development Corporation noted, that remains lower than both the state and national averages. The seasonally adjusted labor force in the county is estimated at 77,400, Ross said in his monthly bulletin.
