CHAMBERSBURG – With nearly four out of five car seats being used incorrectly, a local event this Friday seeks to ensure children in Franklin County are properly secured for a safe ride.
Certified child passenger safety technicians will be on hand at the Car Seat Check Up Event on May 17 from 2:30-6:30 p.m. at the WellSpan Health Campus Building 1, located at 22 St. Paul Drive in Chambersburg.
The technicians will provide tips to parents and caregivers on properly installing and using car seats to keep children safe while traveling. No appointments are required for the free event. Families are encouraged to bring their vehicle and current car seat to receive personalized instruction from the certified safety technicians.
