Charles Louis (C) Griffin, 53, passed away unexpectedly at his home on July 13. He was born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, to Charles M. and Marilyn Endrizzi Griffin. He was a 1990 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School, and attended Berklee College of Music, Boston, majoring in Music Synthesis. Music was important in his life, and he enjoyed composing and creating music. He was employed at Manitowoc, Greencastle, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves, having served in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. He was also a member of the local AmVets, The George Washington Masonic Lodge 143, and the Chambersburg Elks Lodge #600 where he served as a past Exalted Ruler and most recently, an honorary life member of the Hagerstown, Maryland Elks Lodge #378. He is survived by his parents; two sons, Jonathan Griffin, fiancé, Kelsie, San Antonio, Texas, Charles Louis Griffin of Massachusetts; a brother, Andrew (Jodi) Griffin, nephew, Joel, niece, Hayley, in Vienna, Virginia; an aunt, Linda Griffin (Frank) Besten, Clarks Summit, PA; and cousins. A celebration of C’s life will be held on Friday, August 15, 11 a.m., in the sanctuary at The Presbyterian Church of Falling Spring, 221 North Main Street, Chambersburg. The service will be led by Rev. Dr. Meagan Boozer and Brad Hill preceded by visitation at 10 a.m. in the chapel. A reception will follow the service in the Family Life Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Cumberland Valley School of Music, 1015 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201, CVSM Scholarship Program in memory of Charles Louis Griffin.
