Betsy L Shatzer, born 8 May 1955, and formerly of Chambersburg, Pa, passed away January 30, 2025 at Chambersburg Hospital of an acute pulmonary embolism. She was the daughter of Albert and Florence Jones of Winter Haven, Pa. Betsy recently retired from a long career with the US Government (Ft. Meade, MD), she held 2 masters degrees. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother David Jones, and Trudy Shatzer (daughter). She is survived by her husband, Darel R. Shatzer Sr, Darel "Ray" Shatzer Jr (son) and Chrissy Coy (Brandi, Chandler, Cale, & Aydan), Grace L. Shatzer (daughter) and Greg McCauley (Kirsten, Brianna, and Katana) as well as five nieces (Kelly, Dawn, Jen, Justine & Sara) and a nephew (Alan). Betsy enjoyed fishing, walking, spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, and socializing with her friends and neighbors. Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 @ 11am at Brandts Church in St. Thomas, Pa.
