Mrs. Andrea Jean (Baker) Hoover, 81, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Sunday morning, February 16, 2025, in Mercy House, Chambersburg, PA.
Born May 25, 1943 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Janet E. (Strine) Baker and the late Andrew J. Baker.
Jean was a 1961 graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School.
She married the late Ronald E. Hoover December 8, 1962. Mr. Hoover died on July 3, 2023.
She was a lifelong member of the Trinity Church.
Jean worked at various local businesses, including Regency, NBN and Burger King. She enjoyed reading, putting puzzles together, getting together with her friends, country music, watching tv and walking.
She is survived by her two brothers Robert F. Hollinger (Norma Bower) and Daniel W. Baker (Cheryl) and her nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Linda Baker Scott Gonzalez.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 21, 2025 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro with Pastor Russ Hoffman officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday evening, in the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the staff of Holy Spirit Hospital, Mercy House and Heartland Hospice for their kindness and care.
