Mr. David R. Cordell, 69, of Mercersburg, PA, passed away, Wednesday, December 18, 2024, in Chambersburg hospital, Chambersburg, PA.
Born June 28, 1955, in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of the late Ray and Connie “Thomas” Cordell.
David graduated from Greencastle High School with the class of 1973.
He and his wife, Nancy L. (Robinson) Cordell were married April 7, 1973, in Cearfoss, MD.
David worked as a Robotic Operator for Corning Glass Works in Greencastle, PA. He retired after 32 years of service.
A simple man by nature, David enjoyed the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, and reading. He had a love for cars, particularly his own hot rods. He was very quick witted and had a great sense of humor. He will be truly missed by all those he leaves behind.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Bambi Breneman and her husband Matthew of Mercersburg, and a granddaughter, Ashley L. Gipe.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 24, 2024, in Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St, Greencastle. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Tuesday morning in the funeral home.
