Shirley Blizzard, 62, of Fayetteville, PA passed away Monday, January15, 2024 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born May 27, 1961 in Frederick, MD she was the daughter of the late Walter Thomas May, Sr. and Anna Mae Carbaugh May.
Shirley loved being a stay-at-home mom and wife. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, adding to her cookie jar collection, and playing computer games.
She will be especially missed by her aunt, Hattie Eckenrode of New Midway, MD who was like a second mom to her.
She is survived by her husband David Blizzard; three children, Thomas Blizzard of Fayetteville, Benjamin Blizzard of Alabama, and Billie Jo Blanchard (Chris) York, PA; two grandchildren; two sisters, Goldie Claggett (Charles) of Spring Grove, PA and Malinda Nissley of Middleburg, PA; a brother William May of Hanover, PA; and a number of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and her cousins.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Walter Thomas May, Jr. and a sister, Rose Marie May.
A celebration of life will be held and a later date.
