Mrs. Leatrice J. Ritter Widmyer, 87, of Hagerstown, died early Tuesday afternoon, January 19, 2021, at St. Joseph’s Place, Emmitsburg. She was the wife of the late Clyde Wayne Widmyer, who preceded her in death on February 26, 2019.
Born September 21, 1933, in Hagerstown, she was a daughter of the late Lee Roy and Hazel Beatrice Ernde Ritter. She graduated from Hagerstown High School, Class of 1951.
Mrs. Widmyer was employed with Verizon Telephone Company, formerly C&P Telephone Company, for 44 years.
She was a member of Zion Reformed United Church of Christ, Hagerstown. Additionally, she was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America.
Surviving is Mrs. Widmyer’s sister, Lana R. Barnhart and husband Robert of Hagerstown; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown, is handling the arrangements. There will not be visiting at the funeral home. Inurnment will be private in the churchyard of her church.
