Kicking off on Friday, Dec. 13, from 5 to 8 p.m., and continuing on Saturday, Dec. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., this festive event invites participants to explore local shops while sampling a delightful array of hot cocoa flavors, including Dark Chocolate, Peanut Butter Cup, and Salted Caramel. Tickets are priced at $10 and include a wristband, cocoa mug, and a map for navigating the participating businesses. Attendees can also enter a raffle for a chance to win gift cards by visiting all locations on the map.
Get your jingle on—shop now– The Christkindl Markt will take place on Saturday, Dec. 14, at University Plaza in Hagerstown, MD, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This festive event, rooted in a tradition that dates back to the 12th century in Germany, showcases local artisans and vendors offering a variety of Christmas wares. Families can enjoy a Kids Zone with crafts for all ages and live holiday music throughout the day. Santa Claus will also make special appearances, adding to the holiday spirit. Experience holiday magic. The Yuletide Celebration at the Blue Ridge Summit Free Library will take place on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 4 to 6 p.m.. This free event features activities like fire truck rides, a visit from Santa, and a bird feeder craft for children. Attendees can enjoy live music by Rich Fehle and holiday treats, including cookies and cider. The library will showcase a special tree with Brandywine Critters ornaments made by the late Roberta Domenick. A memorial tree lighting will honor Steve Burdette, and the Blue Ridge Summit Stitchers will announce the winner of their quilt raffle.
Join Santa’s Drive-Thru Adventure. The historic Martin’s Mill Bridge in Greencastle will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland on Sunday, December 15th, 2024. This free drive-thru event runs from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., featuring holiday decorations, music, hot cocoa, and cookies. Santa and Mrs. Claus will make a special appearance, and photographs will be available for purchase. The event celebrates the bridge’s 175th anniversary and promises a festive atmosphere for all attendees.
Bring your cheer, leave with joy– The Celebration of Trees is set to enchant families on Sunday, Dec. 15, from 3 to 9 p.m. at the historic Springfield Barn in Williamsport, MD. This festive event will showcase over 150 beautifully decorated trees contributed by local families and organizations. Attendees can enjoy visits with Santa, stunning light displays, photo opportunities, and delightful wagon rides. Admission is free, with donations welcomed to support the community.
